    This Miami village, located at the site of the present city of Fort Wayne, was known as Kekionga, or Kiskakon, and later became known as "Miamitown". It was used as a trading post by , and is reported to be "the oldest continually occupied community in subsequent Indiana and the general area to the south of the Great Lakes. Plat books, showing land ownership, are collected by the IUB Libraries for Indiana Counties only, housed on East Tower 2 of the Herman B Wells Library.
